Always LIMIT the overly processed dry junk so they are hungry enough to eat their wet food. By giving wet food daily, you will AVOID many health issues like, urinary tract issues (linked to peeing outside the litter box) Kidney problems, obesity issues (linked to diabetes) & EXPENSIVE VET BILLS! Your lowest quality wet food brand will be better for your cat than your most expensive dry food! *YesNoHad no ideaDid you know that the #1 cause of death of cats 5 and older is dehydration related illnesses? Cats on a dry food only diet are at a much higher risk for kidney issues, urinary tract problems, which could lead to peeing outside the litter box, Obesity issues linked to diabetes, cardiac, and thyroid issues. ??? WHY ???? Because cats simply do not drink enough water on their own and have a low thirst drive. Cats are designed to get the bulk of their water needs from their food. Since Canned WET FOOD is closer to a cat’s natural diet as it is higher in moisture at 75% (dry food is only 10%), Cats need it daily to help them avoid many health problems! By limiting the overly processed dry junk, your cat will be hungry enough to eat one or two big helpings of wet food a day! ************RECOMENDED: As the amount of wet food given DOES MATTER *********** Think of wet food as your cat’s main source of diet if you can. We recommend one 5.5 oz. can a day per cat (half in morning and other half at night). Or two cans a day of the 3 oz. cans. At the very minimum can give half this amount, but the more wet food the better. Read this for more info: Catinfo.Org or our own blog here: FurryNationSalvation.Org/WetFoodDid you know our pets suffer in silence due to dental issues? 70% of cats and 80% of dogs have some form of dental disease by the time they are 3 years old. There are easy brushing & NO-brushing ways to help your pet fight dental disease and help them live a longer and happier life! There are ENZYMATIC PET toothpaste (poultry flavor) kits available online. *YesNoHad no ideaGood oral hygiene can help prevent diseases or secondary infections, such as liver, heart, kidney, and joint disease from bacteria originating in the mouth and spreading through the body by the bloodstream. There are brushing and NO-brushing techniques to help your furry family members. Enzymatic pet toothpaste (beef or poultry) & toothbrush is the best way, but there are oral care gels, dental wipes, and even a liquids you add directly to your pet's water bowl. Dental disease is very painful and pets suffer silently - Please help them fight this disease! My dog and cat fight over the toothpaste (yes they see this time as a special treat), so don't think this task is impossible. If you adopt from us, we will show you how easy it is! CONSISTENCY is key! Make sure you brush teeth 3x's a week at the minimum. AND NO, our pet's dry food DOES NOT clean teeth! Unless you think a pretzel will clean your own mouth?Did you know peeing OUTSIDE the litter box has been linked to a Dry food only diet? *YesNoHad no ideaFeeding ONLY dry food makes cats prone to urinary issues in both males and females. If a cat has an urinary tract infection, he/she may try to pee in their litter box only to experience discomfort when doing so. This could start the trend of them seeking other locations to pee which would cause them less pain! Cats have a low thirst drive and reason why giving your cat wet food DAILY is so very important as they need the high moisture content in it (78%)! Dry food is very low in moisture (10%). Feed your cat a nice helping of wet food DAILY to avoid this and always LIMIT THE OVERLY processed dry junk so they eat all their wet.
